Estadio General Santander
El Estadio General Santander es un escenario deportivo ubicado en la ciudad colombiana de Cúcuta que sirve de sede al equipo de fútbol profesional Cúcuta Deportivo. Fue inaugurado en 1948 y ha recibido como local al Cúcuta Deportivo en sus participaciones en el campeonato de primera división colombiano y en los años 2007 y 2008 recibió partidos de la Copa Libertadores de América, en el marco de la clasificación del equipo a la justa continental.
El nombre es en honor al general Francisco de Paula Santander, prócer de la independencia de Colombia, nacido en el municipio de Villa del Rosario, distante a pocos kilómetros de Cúcuta.

The General Santander Stadium is a sports venue located in the Colombian city of Cúcuta that serves as the venue for the professional football team Cúcuta Deportivo. It was inaugurated in 1948 and has received as local the Cúcuta Deportivo in its participations in the championship of Colombian first division and in the years 2007 and 2008 received matches of the Copa Libertadores de América, in the framework of the classification of the team to the continental joust.
The name is in honor of General Francisco de Paula Santander, hero of the independence of Colombia, born in the municipality of Villa del Rosario, a few kilometers from Cúcuta.

En este lugar nació el General Francisco de Paula Santander el 2 de
Abril de 1792 y la habitó hasta 1805, Existen muy pocos artículos de la época.

Casa Natal Museum of General Santander

Catedral de Cúcuta
La Parroquia San José - Catedral es un templo religioso catedralicia de culto católico bajo la advocación de San José, está ubicada en la zona céntrica de la ciudad de Cúcuta (Colombia) y pertenece al gran conjunto de templos que se encuentran en el centro de la ciudad; en el caso de la catedral, situada al frente del Parque Santander al igual que la alcaldía. Su construcción inicio a mediados del siglo XIX y culmino en los primeros años de los 70 del mismo siglo. La iglesia fue destruida debido al terremoto de 1875 y posteriormente reconstruida en el mismo lugar en un proceso que duró más de 50 años. Fue erigida como Catedral y sede principal de la Diócesis de Cúcuta al fundarse esta última, el 29 de mayo de 1956.

Cathedral of Cúcuta
La Parroquia of San José - Cathedral is a religious cathedral of Catholic worship under the title of San José, located in the central area of the city of Cúcuta (Colombia) and it belongs to the great set of temples that are in the center of the city; in the case of the cathedral, located in front of the Santander Park just like the mayor's office. Its construction began in the middle of the 19th century and culminated in the early 1970s of the same century. The church was destroyed by the earthquake of 1875 and then rebuilt in the same place in a process that lasted more than 50 years. It was erected as a Cathedral and main seat of the Diocese of Cúcuta when the latter was founded on 29 May 1956.
